Spring is finally here! I am so excited to be getting ready for April! That means that my first fitness competition is in three weeks (!!!!), classes are over in six weeks, and I leave for my honeymoon to the Bahamas in eight weeks! Not only that, but the snow is finally gone! Idaho is warming up to what looks like will be a beautiful summer. I’m excited to see all the flowers blossom! So much, that I made them this month’s theme! Let’s dive right into how I set-up my Easter Egg month!
Saying hello to April!
April is a very special month to me as it represents exactly ONE YEAR bullet journaling! It’s crazy to think that it’s only been a year since I’ve found this great community, but I’m so glad I did! I brought back my doodle wreaths to welcome in the new month!
A Line a Day and Events
I really liked how I set-up my March calendars so I just kept them! This month’s color scheme is neon blue with accents of pastel pink, purple, and green. The carnation just seemed to be a perfect fit!
Yet again — surprise, surprise — I have my two favorite challenges. The April Plan With Me Challenge from Boho Berry, Pretty Prints and Paper, and Tiny Ray of Sunshine and the April 6-Word Story Challenge from Page Flutter. I’ve done them every month for the past six or seven months and I don’t see myself stopping anytime soon!
Since it is the month of my competition, health is very important to me right now. Especially to see how my diet is effecting my life – such as mood, sleep, and stress. Finals are also around the corner so I want to make sure that I track my stress levels. That way, I can stop any panic attacks or prevent any breakdowns from happening. I will also be doing close to two hours of cardio a day so in such a low-carb state, it is important that I track every time I go as to not forget that I did it!
New trackers! – Books and Gratitude
I had a goal this year to read 30 books. I have finished one. Yet, I am in the middle of reading four. This tracker will help me to visually see how far into each book I am so that I know I am on my way to completing that goal. I am into all different kinds of books – fantasy, fiction, sciencey, and at the moment I am starting a book my pastor recommended. Something more “grown-up”. However, I do have plans to reread Harry Potter this year!
I really liked how Boho Berry did her gratitude page using doodles. I’ve decided to try that, but instead, use it as my calligraphy practice. Each day will be a different pen, a different color, and therefore, a different way of practicing. I’m excited to see how it all works out!
